Abstract

I RIBELLI DELLA MONTAGNA (The Rebels in the mountains) is a historical larp set during the Resistance, inspired by the tragic events of September 1944 at Monte Sole. First played in 2015 for the 70th Anniversary of Liberation, it was rerun in 2024 with two revised editions which enhanced the commemmorative aspect. The event bears tribute to the victims of the Nazi Fascist regime, reaffirming historic memory as a political gesture. The characters, largely inspired by historic figures, sound the complexity of the human psyche forced to make extreme choices, regardless of ideology. The original narrative, based on historical documents, created an immersive experience of 42 hours in the woods among ruins and dwellings used as sets and accommodation.
