Abstract

The Three Musketeers is an experimental larp event, the most exclusive we have ever created, involving only 8 player characters. The participants, rigorously selected, played the four heroes of the Dumas trilogy and their servants. Musketeers and servants followed the game on two parallel plotlines: a more action-oriented larp for the musketeers, and one more focused on investigation for their servants. As in our tradition, the event was also characterized by a high-level game aesthetic, with a completely renewed costume assortment for the occasion; we usually run larp campaigns in a pirate setting... This first 2019 edition of The Three Musketeers was a beta version, created with the aim of perfecting the format for future replicas, which we hope to open to the public outside our association.
