Abstract

INTEMPESTA NOCTIS is set in the 19th century, in the Duchy of Parma, Piacenza, and Guastalla under the rule of Marie Louise of Austria. Two foreign guests, the Marquis de la Rochelle and the Earl of Nottingham, along with their respective entourages and families, have settled in Borgo San Donnino, transforming it into a theater of political intrigue and international tensions.

Their rivalries become increasingly heated amid gala balls, gambling, and revolutionary unrest. But it is not only men who pull the strings of destiny for the inhabitants and guests of Borgo San Donnino: howls echo in the night, dark presences roam the streets, and it is said that the dead do not always remain so. Superstition? Madness? No one is safe in the dead of night.
