Abstract

You responded to a strange job advertisement, promoted by two companies with curiously similar names, yet in open competition: Sunset Corp. and Sunshine Inc. You’re not entirely sure what exactly they do, but the pay seems really good and your CV was positively reviewed. In the ad you saw while channel-surfing and stumbling upon a local station, they talked about serotonization of the public transport nodes in the Capital, Madeleine coefficients to be measured in Proust, holistic technical operators, and specialized mnetic operators. You didn't understand a thing. Still, you decided to attend the interview, but they asked you seemingly nonsensical questions. You simply thought those people were out of their minds; yet something inside you pushed you not to give up. No matter how crazy the interview or how eccentric the interviewer, you couldn't shake off that unusual fascination and decided to see it through to the end. They then gave you an appointment for a field test. The designated place: a stop on Rome's Metro C. You’re waiting for that day with a mix of anxiety and anticipation. You can imagine that what awaits you will be equally unpredictable and, at the very least, bizarre. In any case, you are certain that this is the beginning of a strange adventure. Metropolitan: Christmas Tales is the Christmas-themed remake of Metropolitan. The characters' memories, reenacted by the participants, indeed had Christmas as the central theme.
