Nuova Atlantide

"Nuova Atlantide" ("New Atlantis") was an apocalyptic larp, set in the early aftermath of a sudden contamination of most drinkable water sources, with the subsequent collapse of society and mass casualties.
Players pit themselves as a bunch of survivors, who have found their way through the mayhem thanks to a pirate radio and are now struggling to stay alive and preserve a trace of humanity’s legacy.
For a few weeks before the larp, the players have been building their alter egos and their relationships actively, by interacting in character on a forum website (the fictional pirate radio’s). Through their characters’ posts, audio logs, pictures etc., they collectively told the story of the last days of civilization. They then had five days of runtime, revolving around survival: they experienced scarcity of resources, having to earn every bit of comfort the hard way, and the challenge of building and organizing a community from scratch.
