Victorian Murder Party

“Victorian Murder Party” is an investigative edu-larp set in Victorian London. It can be played both in presence and as a laog. The in-person version was played twice during 2020 and allows 5 to 14 players. The digital version (described here) can be played by 5 to 8 players in plenary; adding virtual game rooms can take it up to 14 players. Some of the most intuitive minds in literature have been summoned by a mysterious person to solve the murders of three women apparently dead by suicide, somehow connected to everyone present. What the men and women investigators don’t know is that the culprit lurks among them and has with him the necessities to commit a massacre if he is not stopped quickly. The scenario is constructed to discuss literature set in the Victorian era and to stimulate the participants’ transversal problem-solving and communication skills.
