Abstract

Year 1934. In Mr. Ettore Nunziati dagli Esposti and his wife Clarissa Hebernause’s estate, thirty characters find themselves forced to live inside the villa by the landlords. The world outside has changed, becoming too dangerous. Through psychological pressure and fear, the hosts are looked at as protectors by their guests. Luca, son of Ettore and Clarissa, is a sick, very fragile little boy, overprotected by his mother. Moreover, a ghost seems to live in the house: many hear whispers, while others even claim to have spoken to him. The supernatural themes linked to the political events of the ‘30s have combined to create an intriguing story of conflict and tension in a charming 15th-century villa on the Bolognese Apennines. A meta-room allowed the players to contact the ghost, exploring the troubled events of their lives. In this horror-thriller LARP with historical references, players explored the themes of life and death and how memory can influence the present and the future.
