SOE: Resistance is a high-production immersive historical larp event recreating the final training of candidates for the British Special Operations Executive in spring 1944. With only 40-50 participants per run, this event offers an intensely cinematic experience focused on emotional drama, psychological tension, and moral choices facing ordinary men and women who volunteered for deadly missions in Nazi-occupied Europe during World War 2. Set in a real historic estate in Devon (Colehayes Park), the event runs for 3 days and 3 nights of continuous play where players portray carefully researched pre-written characters: saboteurs, agents, wireless specialists, and couriers from across Europe (France, Belgium, Norway, Poland, Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, and UK). The experience combines authentic practical training (sabotage techniques, espionage, coded messages, simulated interrogations), intense evaluations by SOE instructors (portrayed by professional NPCs), personal intrigue based on complex relationships, hidden secrets, and devastating moral dilemmas. With authentic period costumes provided, historical vehicles, original military equipment, full catering included, and accommodation in a manor house, SOE: Resistance offers a blockbuster-level larp experience that respectfully and deeply explores the history of the real SOE heroes who risked (and often lost) everything to liberate Europe from Nazism.
