Abstract

History as we know it does not exist. The Reich has gained dominion over most of the continents, and for a century a new dawn has been rising on the planet. On that cold sun stands the Nazi swastika. In an Italy subjugated to the Third Reich, seven modern-day partisans face the crucial mission of fulfilling a plan that may be too grand for them. Moral choices, shocking truths and a ticking clock counterbalance the tale of a relentless struggle against oppression to win freedom, even at the cost of one’s own life. Inspired by Philip K. Dick’s The Man in the High Castle, “Projekt K.L.A.R.A.” is an intermedia laog whose story unfolds over four days, using systems and platforms developed specifically for the event, including pervasive game elements. Our aim was to create an experience as immersive as possible and to give the Live Action Online Game media a dignity of its own, so as to convey emotions on a par with live events.
